I’ve tutored IB Geography for 8 years, mostly with Diploma students who need sharper essays and IA guidance. I like working through real case studies, from coastal management to urban growth, and I spend a lot of time on command terms because that is where marks are often lost. I also help students tidy up their fieldwork question, data presentation and evaluation before final submission, without rewriting the work for them.

Hi, I’m an IB Geography tutor with 4 years of online teaching experience. I took the subject seriously at university and still enjoy the mix of maps, people and politics. Most of my students come to me for Paper 1 and Paper 2 practice, especially when they know the content but struggle to write quickly enough. I keep sessions focused and usually build them around past-paper questions, markschemes and short review tasks.

I have 11 years’ experience teaching IB Geography, including Higher Level students aiming for 6s and 7s. My main areas are global risks, population change, resource management and the IA. I’m fairly direct in lessons: we look at what the markscheme wants, compare weaker and stronger answers, then practise building a clear argument under timed conditions. I also review case-study selection with students before mocks.

I started tutoring IB Geography while completing my master’s and have stayed with it for the past 6 years. I work well with students who enjoy the subject but find the syllabus a bit too broad. Lessons often centre on one case study at a time, then we turn it into exam-ready paragraphs. I particularly like teaching climate vulnerability, migration and food security, as those topics let students use recent examples well.
